@MLE_online I often think back to my late 70s one. Had sunroof, Aircon and go faster stripes! Sure Aircon was a bit heavy on the engine but I lived in a hot climate.

@MLE_online This. My MK1 Golf 1500 was very tired when I had it, but was still one of the best cars I ever had. I replaced it with a Polo 6N2 as the closest modern equivalent.

@MLE_online my parents used to have a 70s diesel Rabbit with an extra fuel tank. I could drive it from L.A. to San Francisco and back again without needing to refill. The engine had 48 HP and topped out at about 85 MPH. When you turned on the air conditioner the car quite noticeably slowed down
