Just got this massive book. I grew up in Buffalo oblivious to this scene as I was too young at the time.
Been a fan of Tony Conrad for years and I’ve been obsessed with flicker films ever since I heard of Paul Sharits through an old bandmate that did an event with him in the late 80's.
This was published in tandem with Mindframes: Media Study at Buffalo 1973-1990 exhibition (2006-07) in Germany.
