Once you get the hang of it, OpenSCAD isn't terribly complicated. The learning curve is a treat. Took me a few hours work from never really using it to a finished shape of an e-paper display holder that snaps into USM-Haller modular furniture. Now printing this will prove the bigger challenge with overhangs in all dimensions and orientations but that's a problem for tomorrow-me.

Today-me solved yesterday-me‘s problem by using a second filament as support. Without any changes the design was a perfect fit.
