Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's witch hunt on the Flipper Zero was and remains patently ridiculous.

Canada declares Flipper Zero public enemy No. 1 in car-theft crackdown

How do you ban a device built with open source hardware and software anyway?

@dangoodin Just more examples of my argument that we need to #ElectMoreHackers if we want technically competent legislators who won't embarrass themselves by making wildly inaccurate accusations, and then basing the creation of policy off of those misunderstandings of the fundamental nature of the technology
@dangoodin In the meantime, if someone close to the Trudeau administration could educate them about the Flipper Zero and its capabilities (or in this case, the lack thereof) relating to car theft, that would be great. Is there anyone in Ottawa who could speak to a legislator friendly to Trudeau to get the message across?

@andrewbrandt

Good question, Andy.
