So, Linux is used over 4% on Desktop Computers now
Windows is used over 72%
https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share/desktop/worldwide

With every new Windows Version, M$ pisses of Windows Users even more than before. I think this is the main reason that still over 67% use Windows 10 and do not use Windows 11 which is used over 28% on Windows Computers.

Now a small prediction:
From those 67% Windows 10 Users, i think its realistic to say that around 20% might change to macos and maybe 5 % will change to linux. The reason is, that M$ for the first time in History will not support multiple Windows Versions over the same Timespan:
People switched from XP to 7, a minority used Vista tho
People switched from 7 to 10, a minority used 8 tho.
And since one wont be able to switch from Windows 10 to Windows 12 and M$ fucked up 11 so hard, i expect that some people will just say fuck this shit and move to something else.

@kkarhan in my opinion, it really isn't good because the creators of other OSes will just keep making their products worse, as long as nobody actually threatens them. It's really a problematic situation.
@Jain
@kkarhan well, yeah. I think we all know who actually improves the experience of their users and who's not. I was having the major OS vendors like Microsoft, Apple and Google in mind as I wrote this, although the corporate Linux distributions aren't much better.

Despite disagreeing with a few things they do, Valve is actually improving the Linux desktop to some degree.

As for macOS, technically it's similar to other Unix distributions, like BSDs. The problem is the lack of drivers for lots of devices, that the hackintosh community is trying to solve as much as they can. From my experience, macOS is very good for audio applications (and creative work in general). Even on my hardware, where I run a slightly older copy of macOS, the audio system is far better than on Linux, although things seem to be improving there.
