I would say media have a big impact on representation in pop culture, that's why skinhead it's equal to nazi, due to many cheap media products.

I'll try to explain better, because the last toot was not very clear.
Accelerationism explains capitalism should be ended by the acceleration of its processes.
It lacks of critics about technology, because seizing the means of a capitalism system as they are (and the accelerationism vision is pretty industrial) would be using technology in the way it was designed.

We can always develop further even without capitalism - tbh, even better without it. I mean look at fedi - it is not from nor for capitalism, and yet is better than meta and X
Everything is better if made without profit in mind, and without being blackmailed into it (produce or starve)
We will also need way less production, and more equal distribution

Pharmaceutical industry is one of the most difficult sectors to convert.
As for the rest, capitalism processes are designed for profits, not for an ecologic and non antropocentric approach, the way they works is not compatible with a radically changed enviroment.
There's no short time one man solution to suggest, instead there are more pragmatic problems accelerationism doesn't considerate, because is exclusively theoric, like how to get materials, the impact of production

Those are all issues that can be solved, in fact they MUST be solved because we have no choice. If a product or technology is not sustainable / generate hierarchies, it should be adapted. I believe that's fairly easy once profit is not the goal, it will be the natural evolution of production and distribution in a non-capitalist system.
Accelerationism is a possible way out to capitalism that take into consideration our need for goods and services that were developed under capitalism, whose scarcity or absence would be catastrophic (like pharmaceutical production)

@Manu Grazie, all'inizio l'ho preso come un ottimo esercizio, ma a metà non sapevo come andare avanti :)
Secondo me la teoria accelerazionista manca di un approccio pratico, o anche solo di qualche dubbio pratico.
Tratta la tecnologia come monolite (un po' come fa il primitivismo, ma al contrario la esalta).
La realtà è molto più complessa e secondo me non basta una selezione o una conversione di qualcosa di già esistente.
Tu facevi l'esempio di mastodon e secondo me potrebbe essere...

Le tecnologie si portano dietro il timbro ideologico e pragmatico di chi le sviluppa, possiamo pienamente riappropiarcene come ad esempio facciamo con le arti?
Se è vero che non c'è una soluzione a breve termine da offrire, è una soluzione mantenere gli standard di produzione attuali, in un mondo che ha praticamente gli anni contati?
Ci sarebbe anche un grosso problema rigurado all'orizzontalità del sapere
