This Is My Glasgow

The Temple on Kenmuir Hill overlooking Castle Semple Loch to the southwest of Glasgow. It was built in the 1770s as part of the Castle Semple Estate.

@thisismyglasgow Grew up in a village nearby. Heard it called either the "temple" or "watch tower", but never heard anything exact over what it was.

Not a far walk from Howwood train station and well worth the view when you get up there on a good day.

@stn I think it's just a folly or an eye-catcher (something to be seen in the distance from the big house on the estate).
