Steam deck died playing a simple Indy game with half charge. I think they gave me a dog shit lemon
@flenhah Meh, the battery calibration on them is kinda dogshit. Not sure why, it has something to do with the firmware. The Index Controllers have a similar problem sometimes.
@Rusty wish they made a good thing. But it’s a bad thing.
@Rusty it won’t turn back on. I might need to contact gave Newell’s retarted ass
@flenhah I think it's a good thing with some pretty bad downsides, but you definitely seem to be getting some of those downsides worse than me for sure. I did have to deal with completely re-calibrating the battery the other day though, which was not my favorite thing ever.
@Rusty is that normal?
@flenhah No it's not  It's a known issue, but I think the calibration only gets messed up with specific circumstances that Valve is having a hard time replicating. They said they patched the firmware to address it, but it still happened to me, so I'd imagine there's some edge-cases they didn't quite catch.
@Rusty here’s a better question. Is that fun? Consider me. A normal consumer who doesn’t know how to hack Linux. Is that fun for a normal consumer?
@flenhah I honestly wouldn't know. It's really hard for me to divorce my enjoyment for a device to hack away on from my enjoyment of the Steam Deck. They're pretty intrinsically linked, to the point where I can't really imagine how I'd feel about it if I just wanted a less locked down Switch.
@Rusty I just wanted a product that works out of the box. I’m sorry I dont understand otherworldly operating systems
@flenhah Yeah you might've been better off with an Ayaneo or something else along those lines.
@Rusty thumbs up.
@flenhah I dunno squirt, I can't replicate the issues you're having aside from the battery thing, so I really don't know what to tell you. Sorry you're having a rough time.
@flenhah it's past yer bedtime, that was just the parental lock engaging =p
@flenhah That's a lemon that'll make you pucker from both ends!
