Closing out #BlackHistoryMonth with some unpopular, yet factual opinions.

*Everyone focuses on MLK. But truly, Malcolm Shabazz X was the one. The true visionary.

*WEB Dubois was not a revolutionary. He was for maintaining white status quo that left Black people to figure it out for themselves.

*We do not discuss Betty Hill enough, whose activism single-handedly kept white racism and segregation from infiltrating the free state of California, specifically Los Angeles, in the early 1900s.

*Lonnie Johnson is one of the most prolific scientists in modern history and no one cares because he’s Black.

*Unfortunately, Fredrick Douglass is not that guy, either. He is also the father of modern White Feminism. Follow the history: He married a free Black Woman, Anna Murray, who funded his education, The North Star paper that made him famous, just to divorce her when she was sick and marry Helen Pitts, who used his name and dead wife’s money to start the first suffrage movement in America.

@ErickaSimone Lonnie Johnson is the typical NASA scientist. I mean stereotypical. He could be the poster child for what it means to be NASA.

Now I'm off to google Betty Hill, because I have NO idea who that is, dammit.

@Jon_Kramer you’re about to have a field day. Hope you enjoy.
@ErickaSimone Betty Hill is awesome. Thanks.
@Jon_Kramer she created the very safe world I currently live in and I am grateful.
