Orange (1994) by The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion...not quite blues, of course, but rather a sui generis blast of raw riffs, fiery grooves, weird twists & crazed vocals all whipped into a frenzy of glorious noise...hot damn!
@matthewreedbaker you know, I've only ever heard to their self titled record from '92, and I bounced off it as too chaotic, I didn't understand what they were doing with the chaos/noise (this was over a decade ago) or why the album was in such high regard in some circles.
But at this post's prompting , I'm digging a first listen of Orange now, I'm in the right headspace, and christ they must have been insane live. Thanks for the nudge to revisit! #xkcd1053
