Drinking some chokky milk from a beautiful hand made mug decorated with a pirate flag, and researching films to stock at #hemlockBazaar
Have I used that hashtag before?
I have! Hooray.

#hemlockBazaar is a little Appalachian marketplace in the north GA mountains.

We sell books, records, and movies, locally roasted coffee, brewed espresso, art, and weird bullshit that comes out of our makerspace.

We'll open to the public sometime in the next few days (as soon as our business license shows up.)

We're also selling online at https://hemlockBazaar.com and the contents of that website are updating every day, as we get more stuff loadeed in.

We received our big shipment of books today!

It is ... many books, and it was kind of a thrill to open them and start sorting and shelving them.

It's also, in many ways, not enough books! but we'll deal with that later.

Lots of members of our crew assisted in building this order, so there have been several surprises.

Among the surprises:

A new illustrated HHGG:

I had no idea this was done, but I got to look over it today and it's really great.

There was also this Bilingual #tokipona Wizard of Oz???

https://www.hemlockbazaar.com/product/the-wonderful-wizard-of-oz-toki-pona-edition-dahm-evan/

I learned about that one a few days ago, but it was also nea to thumb through.

Anyway, tomorrow I have to shelve and alphabetize 1000+ books, shelve, alphabetize and finish pricing 1000+ records, figure out how we're going to display our selection of movies, and lots of other stuff.

No sleep 'til Brooklyn.

(or whatever they say)

There are just over 1000 more products to add to our web store from this first order, but they are all successfully in our point of sale system, and that's a big accomplishment on it's own.

This is my life now.

I haven't gotten them up online yet, but I'm unreasonably excited for all those red and blue spines.

They're public domain reprints in the style of Ace doubles from a company called Armchair Fiction. They look really great.

@ajroach42 If you need more books, I have several gorillion copies of @Kamikaze Vols. 1-3 plus an Anthology we could part with for wholesale prices. 😄
