What I am doing today is combing through the 704+ issues on our Github and closing duplicates, invalid questions, abstract discussions, or things that were resolved but weren't closed. So far, went down to 677 issues.

5 pages done, 21 to go. Down to 645 issues. This is frustrating. I don't enjoy closing people's issues, even when they're duplicates it feels like I'm slapping someone. And yet it must be done for the benefit of the project.
