@advynter nahhhh, its still one way open. Make it two and not limited to certain people.
But they are huge.
Mastodon will have to earn their respect, not the other way around for them to care.
The truth is they don't care, because we are not big enough and with the latest #spam attack we'll have to work harder for them to respect us...so the job is getting harder, not easier...

Now if you're wondering whether threads want us to be able to interact with users on their network, I have to be blunt...
they don't trust us and I don't think the #spam attack we got recently made things better.
If they federate with us, they make Mastodon better because we have more users to interact with but it won't make sense for them to do that as...if you take the spam attack into account they don't wanna be spammed.
@advynter but only some accounts are federated, most accounts are not...
but if you find it annoying that things from threads.net pop up in your feed...I know of a way to get rid of it.
Select the three dots on the post, the "..." then select "block domain threads.net".
That will block everything from threads.net on your account. That way if it irritates you that they don't federate then you won't see their stuff.
The only problem is gonna be if they choose to federate in the future, then you'll have to unblock them.
Personally I just blocked the entire domain. I'll read in the news, which I check from time to time about Mastodon growth, if they federate with us and then I"ll unblock.
