I've been thinking about this a while, but if you're someone who's fully transitioned as a trans person, wouldn't it be fun to refer to and treat that older self of you as a lost family member that died as a way of saying goodbye to that version of you? And you refer to that version of yourself as if it were another person entirely, which is true.

I’m still me. I always have been. But….

1) I had a supportive family
2) I was raised in a family where we were all expected to do shit, regardless of gender
3) I transitioned early (20) and I’m 45 this November
4) I’m really very similar to who I’ve always been… nerdy, awkward, adhd-ish… flawed ;)

The only things I think of as separate versions of me are my fursuit characters… who are…
