even at unrealistic 1GB/s it would take ~2 days 8 hrs to fill. 23 days at still questionable 100MB/s.

Today's peak x16 Blu-Ray tops at 72MB/s at outermost tracks and average of ~40MB/s (assuming standard 180 minutes to write 25GB disk at x1).
