I was an early adopter of #LED bulbs, and bought a lot of different brands (not that there were many brands at the time).

I'm coming to the end of my supply of Switch bulbs (a brand that doesn't exist anymore).

You may notice that we do better in terms of watts per lumen now.

#LedBulbs

Switch's main claim to fame was the fluid it put in its bulbs to cool the LEDs -- overheating was a problem with LED bulbs at the time. It also made them very expensive, so the use case would be enclosed fixtures or just very hot environments.

I definitely bought more than I needed, but they were unique.

Of course as LEDs got more efficient, and the electronics inside supplying the voltage improved, the need for specialized cooling dissapeared.
