There has to be a reason why it's typically the bible-thumping types who come up with this kind of weird stuff, which seems to resemble the world view of Islamist extremists.

Except, maybe, that he forgot to mention that it's also okay for her family to perform an honor killing, after the rape, to restore dignity.

@cqd_sos Because they're not into religion to become better people, but for power over them. It is not possible to follow the teachings of their Christ while being a republican. They're proof religion doesn't work.

They're all just supremacists advocating for their demographic doing whatever they want, and saying everyone they victimize deserves it. Patriarchy is a type of supremacy. Ain't more complicated than abusive fuckheads in on a con, working to spread their evil.

There's certainly some truth in that. Thinking about it, it's probably the insecure, power-hungry freaks who are disproportionately likely to become religious zealots, assuming that the word of God, which they claim to pronounce, might provide them with some authority.
