Co-founders of ByteDance Liang Rubo (current chairman & CEO) and Zhang Yiming (former CEO) are both Chinese citizens, the company is headquartered in Beijing, and the Chinese government has government officials on the board for oversight. I don’t know if it gets more Chinese than that, and I’m even Chinese.
