@siracusa (a) My syntax checker has really cut mine down to almost none; (b) I’m more interested in examples like this one where it’s not a typo or malformed syntax, but trying to use Markdown in a CMS field that doesn’t accept it.

@gruber @siracusa But a wise person said: “The idea is that a Markdown-formatted document should be publishable as-is, as plain text, without looking like it’s been marked up with tags or formatting instructions.”
