The normal course of action on these is: stick it in the closet, never wear it.
I am considering the better option: seam rip the pockets on this and replace them all, after finding some matching-ish material. Also do that with three other pairs of pants I own. (basically, convert the "fashionable pants" into cargo pants).
@ai6yr women everywhere be like:
Tell me more of these things called pockets
@pixelpusher220 @ai6yr i started making my own clothes (way back in 2010) so that i would have more pockets.
it's been hugely beneficial in many ways and more people should do it, IMO
@ai6yr Hints from 50+ years of sewing and costuming:
1. Carefully remove the existing pockets. You will be using one as a pattern.
2. Outline pocket on paper. Straighten outlines with a ruler. Set pocket piece aside.
3. Figure out how much larger the new pockets should be.
4. Following the outlined pattern, add the amount of width and height needed equally around the edge.
5. Add ½" seam allowance around sides & bottom. Add ¾" foldover hem at top.
6. Carefully cut out 2 pockets.

@ai6yr Good idea. Good luck.
Front inside pockets can be enlarged as well, for all those women's pants with tiny front pockets. 😠
@ai6yr @mrdiamondj @saltbaygull
lol when our Captain was expecting his first kiddos we got him a tactical diaper bag. I mean really, who needs a bright pink diaper bag?
You don't want babies getting shot while being fashionably carted across the desert, do you? 😐
@ai6yr #badfashion has really hit a nerve today. I too hate lack of functionality in clothes.
Maybe we should send this whole thread to the fashion industry CEOs...not that I'm confident they'd listen.
