Sad but not terribly surprised to hear that some of my friends are now testing positive. I tempted fate with my inconsistent making, I have a feeling I’ll be seeing a positive test soon myself.

interestingly, I haven't heard about widespread covid infection, outside of my immediate friend group. It might just have been our sunday night dinner crowd. Which obviously sucks for us, but I hope it was as specific and localized as that.
One friend who worked in the dealer's room (a very congested high traffic area throughout the weekend) has been in touch with many of her direct contacts, she and all of them are negative so far. So it could just be that we got unlucky
Also, we were all over the place maskwise. Some of us masked almost every time they were in a group, others not at all, some of us (myself included) masked inconsistently. 🤷
