Saw my Doc for some more high blood pressure medicine. He had my blood tested. LDL Cholesterol down from 134 to 102. My kidneys' eGFR jumped from 52 to 67. Only my blood pressure doesn't seem to have benefited from my new vegan diet. I guess I had better not watch so many YouTube videos on politics...
@Prietenul
First of all, congratulations!
For the blood pressure, have you reduced your salt intake? Reducing salt in your diet can reduce blood pressure as well as your risk for stomach cancer.
This might be interesting if you haven't seen it.

Flashback Friday: How to Treat High Blood Pressure with Diet | NutritionFacts.org

The first-line treatment for hypertension is lifestyle modification, which often includes the DASH diet. What is it and how can it be improved?

@EllieK Yes, I have tried to eliminate salt from my diet as much as I can. I watched Dr. Greger's video. He's funny! I will try to get my hands on some ground flax seed! Thanks, Ellie!

For health information, he's the man! I highly recommend his book "How Not to Die".
Vegans can be unhealthy if they don't focus on eating well, only on sparing harm to animals, and that is admirable. But if we look after our own bodies as well in what we put into them, we can be the healthiest of all, also knowing we are causing the least harm possible to a living being. Win win! I use his free Daily Dozen app which makes it easy. https://nutritionfacts.org/daily-dozen/
Have a good day!
