The photo in the article doesn't look like it was taken in #Taguig or anywhere in the #Philippines. We got lousy journalism here. The good ones got blipped, I guess.
🫰🙄

People can complain all they want, but we had it coming. Had they behaved themselves and been considerate of people they're sharing the road with, they could've quietly continued using their wheels freely in most places.

Taguig bans use of e-trikes along main city roads - Manila Standard

Updated on February 20 // 10:40 PM Electric tricycles or e-trikes are now banned on national roads in Taguig City. The local government recently issued an announcement informing residents about the new strict guidelines on the use of the popular e-trikes or electric tricycles, which are rapidly increasing and becoming a leading cause of road […]

No petrol, no cars: Cubans switch to electric vehicles - Manila Standard

SANTA CLARA, Cuba—There is a new sight on the streets of Havana: increasing numbers of electric vehicles whizzing among the old American cars so emblematic of the Cuban capital.

Yes. I know it's Cuban.

And in this age where pretty much anyone can be a #photographer, when taking a high res photo with a phone is so quick and easy... They're too lazy to take a proper, more appropriate #photo.

Better to have the #news without pictures.

Disgraceful. 😐

@evelyn I'm assuming the"ebike" in the picture is NOT what the article is referring to, is it? Aren't they talking about recreational bikes? I'm confused 😕 ❓
@Wayves
We got all sorts of little electric vehicles. With 2 wheels, 3 wheels, and 4 wheels. They don't have a word for the 4-wheeled ones so they only say #eBikes and #eTrikes. The 4-wheeled ones are the worst because they drive in the car lanes. At their speed they should be sticking to the right side of the road, with the bikes. Many drivers and riders of these unregistered vehicles didn't have driving lessons and don't know or care about the rules of the road. It's becoming problematic.
