We've actually already PASSED a statement through the protocols of our union in January. It was no easy feat. However, just by reaching out online to ALL members, over 300 people showed up at the meeting on the 20th and voted.
You’ll see also a voters guide for what the Drafters of the statement are recommending. It can feel very complicated and confusing with Robert's Rules, so for accessibility and ease, they've put together a whole map.
Our union has completely transformed in the 9 years I've been in it. It's full of such beautiful, powerful, kind people. And in a world that feels like anything but all of that right now, we can finally raise our collective voice and serve as a reminder that WE ARE 839 ✊🏽
