do any of y’all know if it’s common for cassette players to break via one of the spools just. stopping turning? idk why both cassette players i’ve bought have broken within like a week or two bc of this. not sure if it’s worth it to try n fix it or where/how to get a better one if it’s not
@canineical I would have to take a guess and say the belts went bad, common issue with old cassette players as the rubber of the belts begin to degrade
@victra @canineical would that cause just one of the spools to stop spinning? n do you think it’s worth trying to fix/replace, or should i just find a nicer cassette player? the weird thing is like… one of these is def old, but one of them is new (yet somewhat shitty n cheap) and broke very quickly, n not like… in the middle of playing or anything. i’d maybe used it a few times n it was fine all the way through n then i picked it up a week later n tried to use it n it was broken
