NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information's list of billion-dollar US weather disasters has been updated for 2023. I made a simple #dataviz of count by year. 2023 had a record number of events, though none individually was in the top 30.

@1minus1 Yes, by CPI, and they even add in old events that become billion-dollar events after to the adjustment.
