Currently listening to #EzraKlein (who seems determined to sink to the level of his #NYTimesOpinion peers) point to #JoeBiden's more somber tone in the most recent campaign kickoff as definitive proof of age-related decline.
Don't get me wrong, the Democrats would have been completely screwed if the Republicans nominated absolutely anyone else, but Biden is perfectly qualified to take on a challenger who has previously proven himself incompetent at the job, seems to have declined even more precipitously, and is distracted by a half dozen legal cases that could potentially land him penniless in jail. #JoeBiden will be fine unless the pundits spend eight months piling onto him over his age.
I just listened to the rest of the Ezra Klein interview and then promptly unsubscribed from his feed, at least for the moment. His solution, when he finally got around to it, is to have Joe Biden just drop out and then have a bunch of random Democrats choose the next candidate at the convention, which is a completely bananas plan.
Also, he is out of his mind saying that Nature's Fynd is a decent cream cheese alternative.
