What’s with the recent spam here? - Lemdro.id

Google Translate says it’s Japanse. I’ve seen the same sort of post on a handful of other communities today as well (oldest going back about 17 hours)

Someone on mastodon said it was a group of Japanese spammers trying to sell their services. Not anything special, just a spam wave that’s hard to stop because they keep spamming from different instances.

Not that hard to stop if you use an automod of some sort.

There are plenty available, as far as I know, most Automods are open source (including the one I’ve written and use).
