“…Damn this woman. Where did she put it?”
Lex began searching through LexCorp records, looking for any sign of the sword he obtained prior to his arrest
“…I know she’s hiding it somewhere. I want it.”
“…Damn this woman. Where did she put it?”
Lex began searching through LexCorp records, looking for any sign of the sword he obtained prior to his arrest
“…I know she’s hiding it somewhere. I want it.”
@LexCorpCEO After a few minutes, the woman strolled into the room, her gaze falling onto Lex.
"You seem to be in a mood," she noted, not seeming particularly bothered by the observation.
@HexParabeIIum “I don’t appreciate my…business partner hiding things from me.”
he walked up to her, crossing his arms
“Now, are you going to be honest with me and tell me the truth? I know what you’ve been keeping from me. I know your little secret.”
@LexCorpCEO "Do you?" She rose a brow, her lips tilting up slightly in amusement. "Somehow I doubt that."
She crossed her arms over her chest, looking up at him. She smelled of perfume and something else; a little smokey, like incense.
@HexParabeIIum “…I want to give you a chance to come clean…”
his expression remained cold, as he stared at her
“…Tell me the truth. Show me what you’ve got hidden away”
@HexParabeIIum “Is this the game you want to play? Very well…”
he looks around the office
“You’ve added a few beautiful decorations in my absence. And took some stuff away…can’t say I’m a fan of your choice in decor.”
@HexParabeIIum “Do you take me for a fool? I know you’re an intelligent woman. I know you know the value of many objects that were here. Many of them I was able to track down. All except one.
…the sword. Where is it?”
@HexParabeIIum Lex just stares at her, clenching his fists
“…You’ve been a mystery to me ever since you’ve crawled your way up here. And now you hide away…such a valuable sword. If you want to play this game, we can play this game. But I’ll warn you. You may not like how this game ends…
…Now. Where did you put the sword?”
@LexCorpCEO Eudoxia's lips quirked slightly. "Don't try to threaten me, Mr. Luthor. Perhaps I initially overestimated you..." She took a single step towards him. She was much shorter than he was, but despite having to tilt her head back to look him in the eye, it was as if she didn't notice.
"I don't understand why you want it displayed in your office so badly. It's silly." Her voice was still perfectly calm.
@HexParabeIIum “I think I should be asking you the same question.”
he backed off, picking up a remote from his desk. He pressed a button as shutters came down from the windows, blocking the room from the outside view
“…I can only guess you know the true nature of the sword. And I can only guess there is much more to you than you show the world. In some regard, I can relate……
…I assume you know the legend of that sword?”
@LexCorpCEO "Better than you, apparently," she relented, only a little. "Which is why I don't know why you have it. Nor why you would want it sitting in your office like that."
There was, indeed, much more to her than he knew.
@HexParabeIIum “I wish to unlock the potential of the sword for myself. It used to be a side project but a recent revelation renewed my interest. Not directly, but…sometimes fate is funny.”
Lex sits at his desk and opens a drawer, pulling out an old photograph of himself and his…”friends”…from Smallville.
“Some have called me the king of Metropolis. Only feels appropriate, wouldn’t you say?”
@LexCorpCEO Eudoxia stared at him for a moment. She then reached her hand up to her mouth and cleared her throat, doing her best not to laugh.
"... Mr. Luthor, have you tried to pull it out?" She asked.
