I really like working with the Twelve South MagicBridge for my Vision Pro, but something about the design kept nagging me and I now understand what it is:

Someone should make a version that stacks the keyboard and trackpad vertically, rather than horizontally. Basically make a MacBook-like shell with the keyboard above and trackpad below.

@viticci I ordered an acrylic version that’s heavy but good for around the house. Hoping Apple makes a Magic Keyboard with a trackpad for Vision Pro.

@philrlee @viticci yeah going for a tray that you can slip an actual Apple trackpad into is the way to go I would think. Other trackpads are not nearly as good imo

@viticci I'd be curious what the thumb/hand recognition is for when you are typing and the meat of your hand inevitably rubs up against the trackpad. There is a recognition on the built-in MBP trackpad that eliminates unwanted touches, but I don't believe the same capabilities are there for the external Magic Trackpad. I've tried working in this format and the experience isn't as good as I'd like.
