On my first road trip to nowhere in several years.
No particular place to go, no particular time to get there, no particular time to go home.
Left Coos Bay OR Monday and spent the night in Crescent City CA.
Yesterday's plan was to go another day south before thinking of going home.
After seeing the Redwoods decided to head east towards Mt Shasta.
Got to a nice lodge just before dark.
Booked tonight too so I can relax lodge style.
I brought a bag of gear and a basket of dongles
The lodge has good bandwidth
A group of friends is going to VC in our family Rumpus server on Discord and group stream from the Plex server of the #MovieMaster
Our small group has people in Olympia WA, Santa Fe NM and two in Japan, I'm, on the road
IN CALIFORNIA! Haven't been south of the Oregon border in 20 years
Will pass through Weed CA on my way north, but probably not stop for souvenirs
When I woke up this morning about 12 hours ago in the lodge room I put the Streaming TV on old Tom and Jerry Looney Tunes (TuBi)
Still hearing slide whistles, random bonks and boings
Good background chatter, unless an anvil drops on yer head
Ended up staying 3 days at the lodge near Mt Shasta
Only drove a few hours today and found a cabin in the snowy woods on Fish Lake
I will decide tomorrow where I want to go, or maybe stay here for a while
Went over to lounge/Cafe office and they said they just posted stay 1 night get 2nd free
Going back for some non hotel room microwave food for dinner and sign up
Probably do an out and back to Crater Lake if the roads are open
Still snowing here
The quiet is nice too
I have been chatting with IRL friends about my trip
No wifi but decent cell service in the woods
One bump in the night might have been a Bigfeets, but I will update as necessary
Might become a Snow Gnome

Saturday is Prime Rib night
House should be busier than tonight
Might get to see Wizzard Island tomorrow, snow road conditions pending
Beautiful day after yesterday's snow storm, will be staying around the cabin for the day enjoying the quiet and the view
Tonight's special at the lodge is prime rib!
Ate an edible, classical music in the background and all of you are a great way to spend the day
I guess the ice fisherman caught some in the first few minutes
Somebody is going for a ride! The person is bundling up a little dog for the ride
