@ScottEdelman I love this! It is exactly like my Grandfather's second hand book shop on Charing Cross Road, at exactly that year. It too, had a secret door just like this. It lead to the basement where the toilet and a million more books were kept. Our great party trick was to startle customers by emerging from down stairs.
