@lifewithtrees Good (and tough) question. Here are three of my favorites:
βœ… Bombas (https://shop.bombas.com): donates a pair of socks to homeless organizations for every pair purchased.
βœ… Penzeys (https://www.penzeys.com): calls out right-wing nonsense and sells high quality cooking spices.
βœ… The Tea Spot (https://www.theteaspot.com): donates 10% to community wellness efforts and sells awesome teas.
Bombas

Bombas is a comfort focused sock and apparel brand with a mission to help those in need. One purchased = one donated, always and forever.

Bombas

@SunnJax @lifewithtrees what bothers me the most is the *threat* of enshittification. The companies are all well and good now, but what is stopping them from getting enshittified in the future or being bought and then enshittified?

I'm having more and more difficulty putting any long term trust in any for-profit company.

@mkhoury I agree, and I keep a closer eye on it than I used to. I also send β€œthank you’s” to companies and organizations that are doing the right things, letting them know how much I appreciate it.
