I'm disappointed that we won't be getting Plasma 6 for a whole 6 months. Was looking forward to trying it out since Gnome is so terrible on Nvidia Graphics with Wayland
@rolandixor you can try out KDE Neon. It's Ubuntu based but the latest kde software
@thelinuxexperiment What the Fuck, much better desktop options than Manjaro. To begin with the desktop experience is the DE... KDE, XFCE, Budgie, GNOME etc, so if the desktop experience on Manjaro is shit, then it's shit on any other Distro.
Then it seems it's a popular meme to keep on brining up issues that no longer apply as to why Manjaro is shit. It's almost like haters gonna hate, to quote an ex Astronaute.
@tracy_anne imo most of the desktop options feel less stable on Manjaro as they do on other distros. But I didn't test Manjaro for a while so that may be changed by now
@[email protected] To that I would say bullshit. I've been using Linux since 2000, and tried lots of different distros, with lots of different DEs. I don't experience stability issues on my current Manjaro KDE install, with Wayland. The experience is smooth, and responsive, even on my older rather under powered laptop. The last distro I used was Linux Mint, which, due to the fact I had lots of PPAs, to have up to date Apps, crashed badly, when I upgraded. Manjaro KDE is/was the perfect replacement.

I have 22 apps pinned on my dock and some more I regularly use. I don't really want to read the changelogs each time one of them updates. So yeah, having a clear warning is nice (not that I use VSCode for anything really, just saying in general).
