The MacBook Pro (Late 2013) was my first device from Apple and I was very disappointed when they stopped offering upgrades for macOS.

The device is quite old, but it works perfectly and the keyboard has never let me down, unlike newer models.

In my opinion, macOS has become more and more like iPadOS since Monterey, but when Homebrew stopped supporting macOS Big Sur it got complicated.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013) - Technical Specifications

Yesterday I used the OpenCore Legacy Patcher to update my MacBook Pro to macOS Sonoma. It is amazing what a team of 6 people can do.

Apple is one of the most powerful companies in the world. So it is not about a lack of know-how or resources, but pure greed. Because new devices are thrown onto the market every year.

Experience macOS just like before

@dhoppe As a former apple user (2010 to 2015) i can just advise: go back to Linux, life is going to be much easier (and cheaper).
@psoo This would actually solve some issues since I definitely own too many devices.
