I spend most of my time on #bluesky, and read that folks on here have issues with that platform. I guess it's a political decision?

Personally, I just like the UX better. Mastodon seems complex and confusing, while after a day on BlueSKy (before it opened up) I had a feed I was pretty happy with.

Politics are great, but they don't sell a product, largely.

As for simple: yeah maybe. I don't mind that. I want a tool that's usable more than anything. I'm not about worrying about the guts of my tech.

I think that bluesky has a chance to darken people's hearts with its simplicity and algorithms.

@MrSommelier I don't see much virtue in complication over simplicity myself. As for algorithms: I feel like everyone is responsible for curating their own experience, because everything is algorithms.
