They are fun, maybe more so for a draft league, but with any adjustment, you run the risk of having totals skewed. Probability needs many instances to work itself out. A Grade D Pitcher can pitch like a Grade A over 3 games.

I've tried to keep mine pretty subtle. Depending on the starter's current ERA, they get to go somewhere between 9 and 12 batters before an opposite-hand batter makes them drop a grate. In my universe, home-field advantage gives the home starter at least one more batter before the lefty-righty thing kicks in...
