Republicans are full on admitting they only want to run on the border but never actually fix it. It’s amazing.

They create chaos around a problem, never propose a solution, never sign on to an actual solution, create fear towards immigrants, and make sure Putin gets an advantage. Add tax cuts for the rich and personal rights removal and that’s the whole party platform.

And tax cuts for the rich, tax increases for the poor, cuts to benefits and public services, and draconian new anti protest laws. @Dagny and yet, they control huge swaths of our government. democrats keep thinking that the gop not getting anything done matters to voters. the gop specifically campaigns on not getting anything done. they're deconstructing the administrative state. so what they said 14 years ago matters about as much as what they said 14 minutes ago. they say things to get votes and trigger people. they're not making actual policy.

they have no interest in policy. they have no desire to help anyone but themselves. dems continuing to pretend like the gop is an equal partner in governing is suspicious to say the least.

the gop are flamboyant fascists and racists. we need an actual opposing force to push against that. we're not going to get that from democrats.

Thank the gods it’s DOA. It’s the most restrictive immigration law in decades, undoes years of humanitarian reform, & further violates international asylum laws, besides including a huge weapons package for Israel. I know the Repubs are rejecting it for shit reasons, but I’m just glad it’s rejected.
