Well, I put down the deposit to special order the 2024 #Hyundai #Sonata #NLine in red that I've been looking forward to getting. This is the car in question that was in the dealership showroom. It just wasn't in the correct color.

#Hyundai #Sonata #NLine update:

I finally took a closer look at the one that was in the dealership showroom. Doing so plus talking with a salesperson revealed at least 7 options that were removed from the South Korean version of the car. I could do without a few, but it's the same price with less in it.

The removed options are:

1. Ventilated seats
2. Heated steering wheel
3. Rear sun shades
4. Rear vents and USB ports
5. Exterior light animation when locking and unlocking
6. Heads up display
7. Turn signal cameras on side mirrors

I was really looking forward to a lot of those missing options along with the power and torque increase from my current #Elantra. I could still get this #Sonata, but I would always be disappointed and being reminded of what it doesn't have.

Because of this I've decided to look into my runner up from last year, the #Mazda3 Sedan. It's the same price with a more luxurious interior and red color exterior.

A heated steering wheel and heads up display are in #Mazda3. It takes getting the top trim (Turbo Premium Plus) for some more basic features, but, as I said, it's basically the same price.

The #Sonata #NLine's horsepower is 290 with torque at 311. The #Mazda Sedan only has 250hp with premium gas and gets just 227hp with regular unleaded. This doesn't bother me since it's still higher than 201hp that my #Elantra #NLine gets. Plus the Mazda has torque at 320 or 310 with the respective gas.

#Mazda3 Sedan update:

I visited the same dealership as I did last year. This time, however, it is a go. I did the required deposit to get the exact car and options I want. I also have a refund check coming from #Hyundai for the deposit that I made there. It's all looking well from here.
