That’s the thing. Most people that claim religion as an excuse to not fulfill their responsibilities are also not fulfilling their religious responsibilities enough to claim religion as an excuse.

@mcnulla @georgetakei If we're going to be honest about it, most of the Ten Commandments are simply subsets of "Don't be a dick."

Also if we're going to be honest. most people who claim religion as an excuse for anything only follow the parts of their chosen religion that they like. (And even that, often loosely.)

No doubt. I’m Christian but I really ignore a good share of Leviticus (most Christians do, which is why I criticize using it to judge people that aren’t hurting anybody).
