I gave #linkedin an honest try, for a year or more, in terms of finding #work. It's a cesspool of #toxicpositivity and fake job postings.

Now I'm asking, with all urgency -- to anyone who has anything #tech to offer, please consider a guy who has:

- 30 yrs of exp
- out of work 20 mo
- 3 kids, one approaching her 1st birthday
- a track record for secure systems
- a month before eviction
- low salary reqs

@ralf good luck. For remote roles you might want to specify the timezone(s) you can most easily cover as that’s probably how many companies hiring for remote rolls organize people (by when they can easily meet consistently with others on their team)

That was about 8 months ago. I'm beyond the depression now.

If it weren't for having to scrap daily for the money to feed my kids (I have a small store, sometimes I make enough, sometimes not), I'd be completely numb.

I have a small store, but it isn't enough -- I've had to rely extensively on friends and family, and most of those wells are dry and relationships strained.
