It is always such a delight delegating the ability to produce critical bureaucratic documents to systems outside of my control and then those systems breaking.
Today I am trying to make a two-page biosketch CV using SciENcv and there's no way to make it produce a compliant PDF until I can fill out a field that the system refused to let me fill out.
Yes, I've started it all over from the top.
Easily 2 hours of time just completely wasted.
Round 2
Two weeks later, whatever bullshit still isn't resolved.
40 hours of work on a $1 million grant proposal due today hangs in the balance over whether SciENcv can connect to ORCID or not to generate the required Biosketch document.

Grant was just submitted in spite of the SciENcv nonsense. Government websites just don't work outside of business hours apparently?
Now to put out all the other fires I've been ignoring!
