#Help me find a #television #WhiteWhale please!

I think it was an episode of #UnsolvedMysteries or #AmericasMostWanted from the early years?

It was about an arsonist & the actress who played her apparently did SUCH a good job that a bunch of people reported her the tip-line.

Vague memory: I can see a picture in my head of an older lady holding a lit match, with a super creepy look on her face.

Please #Boost so I can use my brain for more useful things than worrying about this. Thank you.

@RamenCatholic I've watched unsolved mysteries a lot lately, all the eps that were on streaming & I don't remember an older lady arsonist. There aren't a ton of arson cases on Unsolved Mysteries, and the ones I recall are the teenagers who make a video and the five people who killed several firefighters.

Of course, this could have been on an episode of UM that didn't get to streaming?

@RamenCatholic I remember hearing about that! And to a guy reported by his cab driver, too. Apparently it's a thing 😂 https://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2003/may/01/when-you-star-americas-most-wanted-you-get-paychec/
When you star on "Americas Most Wanted," you get a paycheck and a rap sheet

I could understand that happening in the early days of television when folk didn't know about reality TV etc but nowadays it should not happen.
@justelise i think the "arson nanny" actress is probably the lady I was thinking of, thanks muchly!
@RamenCatholic I'd swear somewhere in my searching I stumbled onto the actual nanny's name, which might have led to more details on the actress...but now I can't find it again 😕
