Israel has said what Hamas needs to do to make them end the war:

1. Release all the hostages
2. Stop the continuous rockets into Israel (specifically civilian areas, which still continues to this day)
2. Remove Hamas from power

Anyone with a shred of human decency can see that releasing hostage and not shooting at civilians is the easiest, fastest and most humane way to end a war.
