Smitha 🌸🌋🎻Just found a freaking 35-minute "lore" video on of PoDW - I'll let y'all know how it is as I watch it. For research.
Most of the images so far are from my site, which is to be expected, but still a pleasant surprise now that the show's available digitally and on DVD and people can pull their own screenshots.
But what I wasn't expecting to see was a desktop wallpaper I created literally 20 years ago (of the Octopon lighthouse), complete with my "Andorus's #PiratesOfDarkWater Page" logo in Papyrus in the corner. 😂
It's been at least a year since I've watched it. It's such a pretty show. And so detailed.
He says "Abbey of the Gallows" instead of "Abbey of Galdebar" several times. I assume he pulled the script together from the RPG World Book. The video does have a mix of RPG images, screenshots, and production art.
10 minutes in, and on to a breakdown of the characters. (I wish I'd scanned these images at a higher resolution because they look pixelated as hell in this video, lol)
Okay, the Characters section of this video is taken verbatim from the Series Bible. I had to go look it up because parts of it sounded weirdly familiar. All the images featured there are from the SB and visual guides, which is an interesting choice.
I'm going to make the call to fast-forward. This section on Mantus is surprisingly long, even longer than Bloth's.
Aha, Konk is spelled as "Conch" here. Definitely from the Series Bible.

In short, he took 95%+ of his video's content from my website and did not attribute or credit me in any way.
That's fun.
I do have a YouTube account tied to my PoDW site's email address, specifically to catalog all the cool original PoDW content out there, so I commented on his video to ask him to cite his sources. We'll see if he actually does.
If I hadn't promised myself to get to bed around 10pm every night, since extra sleep seems to be helping me to push through this fatigue/malaise/etc., I'd probably stay up and keep cranking away on my half-assed Wordpress rebuild of my PoDW site right now. I am properly fired up. >:(
