Twitter just let its privacy- and security-protecting Tor service expire

Twitter has let its Tor onion site security certificate expire, effectively scuttling its privacy- and security-protecting version of the site.

@TheButterZone When I was working for twitter, I kept inserting privacy use cases that I hoped people would grok, like whistle blowers, and citizens of highly repressive regimes, etc.

However, TOR is about as opposite of "complete identity validation and verification before I let your posts have wide visibility" as it gets, which seems to be their preferred model now.
