i just learned about DiGiDi and got very excited about it

it's a cooperative digital distributor / aggregator for getting your music online — owned by the people who use it. nonprofit / democratic / transparent / looks amazing at first blush:

also, for cover song stuff, you can blow it off on the distributor side; as long as you have your mechanical licenses straight, you’re good. i’m under the impression there’s a stupid layer of CYA stuff there
