Why are the unofficial/official HTML and CSS logos tied to HTML5 and CSS3?

We need a https://github.com/voodootikigod/logo.js for HTML and CSS, posthaste!

@zachleat Agreed! I had an idea for a CSS logo, a little tongue-in-cheek, but the simplicity works.

I don't have it at hand but here's the idea:

@chriskirknielsen I like this very much
@zachleat @chriskirknielsen nailed it in one
@eric @zachleat @chriskirknielsen yea I really like this, not mad about the colour either
@DavidDarnes @eric @zachleat You can't go wrong with a rebeccapurple-lookalike.

@eric @zachleat @chriskirknielsen The way the text hangs out of the box does accurately capture something about working with css!

(Jokes aside, it really is a nice design that sits well with the eyes.)

@chriskirknielsen @zachleat we need one for CSS4, CSS5, etc..! take a stab at adding a number or different color per each?
@argyleink @chriskirknielsen I was hoping to have an unversioned logo first, if possible! If folks want versioned ones too, I’m not opposed!
@argyleink @zachleat There's definitely room for a couple numbers (v9999 let's gooo). Looks a little like an element from a periodic table. I don't hate that, but is it CSS-y?
@chriskirknielsen @zachleat Wait I thought that was the LaTeX logo?
@dalias @chriskirknielsen the latex show with stephen colbert??

@chriskirknielsen @zachleat could also just keep the same logos but increment the numbers šŸ˜‚
CSS4 anyone?

Plus, it uses web components!

CSS HTML version logos

Just for fun, the HTML and CSS logos in CSS, so you can easily embed them on your site and change the versions. See https://github.com/w3c/csswg-draft...

@patrickbrosset @chriskirknielsen the noise I made when I realized it handled multiple digits properly šŸ†
