Screen capture on Wayland is still shit.
iantriggs@thelinuxcast What's the actual problem? Screenshotting has worked flawlessly on Wayland across my various desktops for years - Gnome, KDE and Sway.
I select the monitor to record. It does it's thing just fine.
I switch to another scene.
When I come back to the screen capture scene, it is frozen and the only way to get it to capture again is to re-select the monitor.
bitterseeds@thelinuxcast @iantriggs I noticed that weird stuff like this simply went away when I compiled mesa from src. I also noticed my RX7800XT running 3c to 7c cooler after this.
Could it be that SuSE's package has had the same level of care that Manjaro's has had which is to say half-hearted at best?
I dunno. But since getting the AMD card and switching to 100% Wayland, I've been reasonably happy with most things and haven't had show stoppers.

What version are you on? Because this issue definitely have been fixed already, Brodie even made a video about it
