Two new scales in at CoffeeGeek for evaluation:

- the very poorly chosen brand name "MHW-3Bomber" Cube Coffee Scale Mini 2.0 version (that company seriously needs a brand overhaul)

- the much better named DiFluid Microbalance Ti

A scales feature coming soon to CoffeeGeek. The 3Bomber scale is almost the same size as an Acaia Lunar.

@coffeegeek
What are the dimensions? The Flair can only fit a scale narrower than 9.5cm.
@jannem 65mm x 65mm and about 15mm tall, 20mm with the silicone mat.

@coffeegeek Perfect! I'll read the review when it's out before buying.

Edit: The 3Bomber says the mini is 104×104mm on Amazon. You sure about those dimensions?

@jannem his box shows 2.0Mini. Not sure if that is a new product. Amazon is showing the Mini and the larger 2.0 scales.

Edit: nope, it’s the same size as the Lunar. 104x104 appears to be the size.

@coffeegeek I have the Mini 2.0 and it’s working out pretty well so far! I have a Profitec Go which is quite a short machine so a very short scale is a must.

@ezarowny Are you finding any issues with the Mini 2? (I haven't used this one yet). Things I'll be looking at:

- response time
- accuracy
- heat sensitivity
- features and functions
- touch sensitivity
- battery life

@coffeegeek the scale's response time is more than good enough and the accuracy seems good at all four corners. I haven't found a need to try any of the advanced features yet.

The battery seemed to last about 50 days but I have some caveats to add here:

1. I usually make two or three espressos a day and sometimes many more if company is over.

2. I never fully charged the scale I just started using it right out of the box.

3. I also use it when weighing coffee before and after roasting.

@coffeegeek the scale does show zero bars for some time before it finally dies which I appreciate.

My only real complaints are:

1. The insulation pad should have extended down both sides of the scale so it would be harder to accidentally move.

2. The beep is a bit loud! I like having some feedback to make sure I actually pressed a button when I meant to so I usually have the beep turned on.

@coffeegeek The 3Bomber looks quite a lot the Timemore Black Mirror (which comes in a few different versions) would be cool to see a comparison.
